Does Happy Tails come to collect my dog or do I need to drop them off somewhere for their walk?
In almost all circumstances, your dog(s) will be collected from your home, they will enjoy a car ride with their mates to a variety of dog friendly locations all over Sydney. This will be discussed with you at your meet and greet and you will be informed if we want you to drop your dog off at our premises. They will also be returned to your home after the walk unless expressly stated that we want them picked up. Pick up and drop off is included in the price for all social walks.
How long do Happy Tails social walks generally go for?
They have an awesome 90 minute pack walk which includes play, exercise, socialisation, games, cuddles, training, off leash time (if at an area where it is approved by the council and we have deemed them suitable for off leash play) usually with 8 to 12 dogs and 2 or 3 humans.
How long will all this take? When will my dog be home?
Your dog will be in Happy Tails care for approx 2-6 hours.
How does Happy Tails get all the dogs to behave and play and have fun together?
We get asked this question all the time, firstly dogs are very social creatures and they often get on and find friends on their own without much help from us. We also try to foster a fun environment where the dogs can be free to play and not be bullied or dominated by other dogs in our group or who are sharing the location with us on that day. On top of that, we have an introduction process, where we meet you and your dog before they are introduced to our pack and cater their intergration in our walks as we see fit depending on their social skills and general behaviour. Dogs frequently go from meet and greet to social walks and we’re happy to do that if we believe they belong there. Other dogs however may need solo walks and time to adapt, we’re more than happy to accomodate their needs and we will discuss all this with you at your meet and greet.
